It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Dillon (Martin, South Dakota), born in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, who passed away on December 27, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Dillon, Sr. and Bertha Dillon (Bettelyoun); his grandson Jesse Roy Dillon; his son Matthew Shangreaux; his grandparents, George and Angeline Bettelyoun (Richards); his siblings, Cindy Red Eyes and Jerome Black Eyes; his brother-in-law Francis "Sonny" Ruff; and his nephew Lyle Oliver Dillon.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Shangreaux; his children, Tammy Dillon, Jude Dillon, Sissy Jo, Ben Marshall, Amber Siers, Joseph Marshall, Jr., Tish Shangreaux, Jacoby Marshall, Cecelia Cottier, Charlie Cottier, Francis Pack and Renee Mousseaux; his siblings, Lyle Dillon, Craig Dillon (Bonnie), Illa Lone Hill, Linda Dillon-Louden (Keith), Iva Jo Ruff and Donnell Red Eyes (Tom Fast Wolf, Jr.); and his aunt Eva Martinez. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, & cousins.
