He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernie and Lillian; and his brother Leonard. He is survived by: his wife Sue of Martin, SD; and his children, Jean Kieffe (Mike) of Kyle, SD, Kim Hines (Steve) of Spearfish, SD, Patti Guptill (Tim) of Rapid City, SD and Cris Novak (Jen) of Spearfish, SD. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established for the Bennett County Home Health Department and donations may be sent in care of Bennett County Funeral Service, PO Box 65 Martin, SD 57551.
