Bertha Lorraine Johnson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bertha Lorraine Johnson of Martin, South Dakota, who passed away on March 4, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Lola Leeper; her husbands, Dick Jamison and Ralph Johnson; her daughter Shelley Simmons; her father Everett Leeper; her brother Wendell Leeper; and her grandson Justin Hicks.
She is survived by: her sister Berdella Hicks (Glenn); her sister-in-law Linda Leeper; and her daughters, Merry Maguire (Dan), Debra Weaver (Link), Rhonda Johnson and Loretta Groskopf (Mick). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Even during her battle with Alzheimer's Disease, her fingers remembered many songs and she would totally amaze us when we could convince her to sit down and play for us!
