He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Fischbach and Margaret Fischbach (Kittlesland); his son Jeffery Fischbach; and his parents-in-law, Albert and Geraldine Dunker.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Dunker; his children, Wayne Fischbach (Kim), Brian Fischbach (Shelley), Mike Fischbach (Becky), Amy Heim (Chad) and Eric Fischbach (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Adam Fischbach, Kristin Ektnitphong (Tonee), Halle Sieve, Abigail Baloun (Cole), Caitlyn Fischbach, Quintin Fischbach, Chelsea Swenson (Eric), Josie Fischbach, Bailey Heim, Brooke Heim, Chesnie Heim, Chase Heim, Stratton Heim, Patton Caldwell, Blake Fischbach, Joe Zvonek, Katelyn Zvonek and Owen Zvonek; his great grandchildren, Koa Ektnitphong, Sutton Swenson and Baby Baloun; and his siblings, Marge Fischbach, Art Fischbach (Marlette), Paul Fischbach (Dawn), Bob Fischbach (Kathy), Mary Brink (Jim) and Ed Fischbach (Joelle). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
