With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Terry Ryan of Madison, South Dakota, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on March 8, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis "Frank" Ryan and Josephine Ryan (Foreman). He is survived by: his wife Lynn of Madison, SD; his daughter Colleen Ryan-Johnson (Isaac) of Storla, SD; his grandson Finley Johnson of Storla, SD; his sister Sheila Oelfke (Bill) of Orlando, FL; his siblings-in-law, Judy Johnson of Rockford, IL, Jane Kennedy of Louisville, KY and Dave Reilly of Berea, KY; and his nieces and nephews, Christy Clark (Phillip) of Boulder, CO, Steve Oelfke (Jenny), Marc Johnson of Rockford, IL, Sarah Hoffman (David) of Raleigh, NC, Nathan Reilly (Theresa) of Cincinnati, OH, Rachel Reilly (Ty Bullard) of Raleigh, NC, Danielle Reilly of Danville, PA, Liz Hayes (Rob) of Lexington, KY and Eileen Kennedy of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by children and grandkids.

“Dear Mary and Terry's friends and family. I'm so saddened to hear of Terry's passing. I know he hasn't been able to ski for several years, and I missed seeing him at Terry Peak. But if I know Terry, he is skiing the endless slopes of sunlit powder. This "Legacy of a Skier" rock sits at the top of Terry Peak, and I'm guessing Terry stopped to read it many times. Every time I read it, it helps me understand why I love Terry Peak and the people that love it. Rest in peace, Terry, Linda Derosier”
