He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Belatti and Carlotta Belatti; his wife Marilyn Lloyd Belatti; his siblings, Steven and Katherine; and his grandson Michael.
He is survived by: his family Dr. Belatti; his children, Dr. Richard (Michaela) of Omaha, John of Sedro Wooley, Washington, Ann of Madison and Susan of Flagstaff, Arizona; and his grandsons, Dr. Daniel (Heidi) of Grand Junction and Thomas (Paula) of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family suggest memorials to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Madison, South Dakota, or to the Richard G. and Marilyn J. Belatti Scholarship Funds at the following: The University of South Dakota Foundation, Creighton University in Omaha, NE, and, Dakota State University Foundation.
