She was predeceased by: her husband Joe; her daughter Alice Dixon; her parents, Elmer Thompson and Helen Thompson; her sons-in-law, Ron Dixon and Brent Jacobson; and her great grandchild Reina Eich.
She is survived by: her children, Mark Halverson (Kim) of Yankton, SD, Mary Gross (John) of Owatonna, MN, Jim Halverson (Amy) of Prescott Valley, AZ, Bruce Halverson (Wanda) of Alcester, SD, Teresa Dorris (Lowell) of Madison, SD and Scott Halverson (Tammy) of Ramona, SD; and her brothers, John Thompson (Terri) of Glendale, AZ and Roger Thompson (Peggy) of Yankton, SD. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren & 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel (320 Egan Ave N, Madison, SD 57042). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
