He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Rosendale and Grace Van Rosendale (Pearson); his son-in-law David Feige; and his siblings, Maxine Schmidt, Marjory Wilkey, John Van Rosendale and Kenneth Van Rosendale.
He is survived by: his wife Ardella Johnson of Madison; his children, Connie Van Rosendale (Dennis Jaeger), Carolyn Feige, Ardana Bruns (Fran), Darla Van Rosendale, Randy Van Rosendale (Janet) and Robin Bettmann (David); and his aunt Marion Hill. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Asera Care Hospice, Graceland Cemetery or Lake County Historical Society.
