It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leonard H Janke of Madison, South Dakota, who passed away on October 6, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Janke and Anna Janke (Graese); his daughter Doreen Pospisil; and his siblings, Harold, Ruth Plack, Olga Abraham, Marie DeBoer, Florence Maltheson and Lorraine Mullvihill.

He is survived by: his wife Doris Hanneman of Madison; his sons, Roger (Peg) of Dakota Dunes, SD, Ronald (Roberta) of Madison, Fred (Linda) of Madison and David (Audra) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his siblings, Kenneth (Helen) of Beaver and Ella Koepp (Wis) of Waukesha. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
