He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Alfson and Fern Alfson (Klassy); his daughter Betsy Jonas; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his daughter Susan Alfson; his wife Joyce E. Hare; his sons, Tom (Deb) and Dan (Misty); his grandchildren, Kayla Radunz (Zac), Nathan Winesburg (Hannah), Sarah Sherman (TD), John Wallace (Shae), Lucas Wallace (Maddy), Nicholas Wallace, Dakota Alfson and Libby Alfson; his great grandchildren, Ryker Wallace, Colton Radunz, Iralyn Wallace, Elijah Sherman, Caden Radunz, Hallie Sherman and Elsie Winesburg; his brothers, Don of California and Terry (Dee) of Oregon; and his sister-in-law Ruthie (Rapid City). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
