She is survived by: her husband Vernon R. Schmidt; her children, Tracey Schmidt (Todd Olson) and Scott Schmidt (Jo); her grandchildren, Tiffany Heeren, Tyler Heeren, Elizabeth Engle (Ryan), Connor Schmidt and Paige Schmidt; her great grandchildren, Ryder and Emery Engle; her brother Larry Becker (Diane); her sister-in-law Karen Becker; and her aunts, Lorene Erikson and JoAnn Hoines.
Kay participated in several clubs over the years, some of them were, Madison Garden Club, Alley Cats and Friday Nights bowling leagues, Bunco, Lake County Republicans, Bethel Foundation and East River Credit Union.
