He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Hansen and Betty Hansen (Harris); and his brother Walt Hansen. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Rook of Madison; his son Paul (Rachel) of Elkton, SD; his granddaughters, Amelia and Emilie; his siblings, Mark Hansen (Bridget) of Madison, SD and Esther Hansen of Chamberlain, SD; and his brothers-in-law, Richard of Madison, SD and James Rook of Madison, SD. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel (320 Egan Ave N, Madison, SD 57042). A prayer was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church (122 Grant Ave N, Madison, SD 57042).
In lieu of flowers, memorial can be directed to St. John Lutheran Church, Franklin Cemetery, Valiant Living or Lake County Food Pantry.
