He was predeceased by: his mother Grace Blacksmith (Dewitt); his granddaughter J'Dolyn Lebeau; his father Joe Blacksmith; his brothers, Ronnie and Allen Blacksmith; his niece Pamela Hendershot; and his nephews, Billy Joe Hendershot, Corey Ellen LaCroix and Ronnie Jean LaCroix.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Kendrik, Audra, Alaura and Bailey; his children, Samantha LaRoche Blacksmith of Sioux Falls, SD, Chelsea Desheuquette (Louis) of Chamberlain, SD, Ivan Blacksmith of Lower Brule, SD and Ashley LaRoche Blacksmith of Lower Brule, SD; and his sisters, Delilah Leckey (Kevin), Wanda Peacock (Randy), Patty Atkinson (John) and Ila Moldenhauer (Erik). He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
