Byington and Josephine Byington (Charging Eagle); his grandparents, John Charging Eagle and Ida Red Hawk (Louis Big Horn); and his siblings, Charles Byington, Jr., Robert Byington, Richard Byington, Steven Byington, Leonard Byington, Sr., Jean Marie Crewe and Geraldine Grace Crewe.
He is survived by: his wife Winona M. Byington of Lower Brule, SD; his children, Candace Byington of Lower Brule, SD, Francis W. Byington, Jr. of Sioux Falls, SD, Sophie Byington of Lower Brule, SD, Brian Byington of Lower Brule, SD and Camie Quilt of Mitchell, SD; and his sisters, Laura Stempson of St. Cloud, MN and Lillian Galloway of Loves Park, IL. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; one great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.
