It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Warren Van Wyk of Lodgepole, South Dakota, born in Hettinger, North Dakota, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert Wyk and Marie Van Wyk (Stuit); his wife Carolyn Haag; his siblings, Thelma (Bud Sandgren), Buster Van Wyk, Elaine Anderson, Rodney and Duwayne; his siblings-in-law, Bonnie Haag and Darrell Haag; his nephew Duwayne Haag Jr.; his great-nieces, Taylor Anderson and Carlie Malm; his great-nephew Matthew Sandgren; and also, Henry and Evelyn Haag.
He is survived by: his sons, Kory Van Wyk of Lodgepole, SD, Rory (Kaye Van Wyk) and Paul Van Wyk of Lexington, KY; his stepgranddaughter Joeletta Jordan of Portland, OR; his sister Gladys Vliem of Hettinger, ND; and his siblings-in-law, Janice Haag of Missoula, MT and Dean Anderson of Hettinger, ND. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
