It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Kost of Letcher, South Dakota, who passed away on May 6, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Schaeffer and Katherine Schaeffer (Gabel); and her granddaughter Codi Meier. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Kost; her daughters, Sherri Osborn (Roy) of Sioux Falls and Melody Straw (Kelly) of Letcher; her grandchildren, Jesse Deurmier (Joslyn), Meagan Schoenfelder (Jed), Kylene Prouty (Billy), Zachary Kerkow and Connor Kerkow; her sister Alvina Auch; and her sister-in-law Alice Schaeffer. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
