He was predeceased by: his parents, Ole O. Olson and Julia Olson (Knutson); his wife Sally Ryan; his sons, Rich and Jay Olson; his grandson Rob Francis; his son-in-law Bill Hoffman; his grandson Brian Hobaugh; and his brothers, Russell, Gerald, Ed, Calvin and Art.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marlene Hoffman of Letcher, SD and Linda Francis (Todd) of Mitchell, SD; his grandchildren, Eddie Hoffman (Tiffany), Missy Hobaugh, Aaron Olson (Angela), Andrea Timblin (Dan), Sara O'Connor (Dave), Amy Poppen (Cody), Howard, Stephanie Keller (Tony) and April Spinar (Collin); his great grandchildren, Michael Hoffman, Tori Hoffman, Landon Hoffman, Bailey Olson (Alex Rolling), Levi Olson, Jay Olson, Charlie Timblin, Frankie Timblin, Paxton Poppen, Kenlie Poppen, Kena Spinar, Pierce Spinar, Greyson Spinar, Kaylie O'Connor, Dylan O'Connor, David Keller and Norah Keller; his great great grandchild Everleigh Olson; and his siblings-in-law, Colleen Sundstrom of Chester, MD, Bob Sundstrom (Hazel) of Sheldon, IA and Mike Sundstrom of Edgemont, SD.
