She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Peterson; her parents, William Baker and Sarah Baker; her sisters, Gurtrude and Wilma; and her children-in-law, Cindy Peterson and Steve Merkwan.
She is survived by: her sister Vivan Black of Portland Oregon; her children, Lloyd Peterson of Yankton, SD, Melvin Peterson (Cathy) of Lesterville, SD and LaVona Merkwan of Tyndall, SD; her grandchildren, Sarah, Anna (Richard Peterson), Julie (George Peterson) and Michael (Jennifer Merkwan); and her great grandchildren, Aubrie, Ashlee, Ella, Laikyn and Braylee.
