He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Schumack and Irene Schumack (Leidle); his sister Carol Schumack; his brother-in-law Glenn Bender; and his nephew Durand Bender.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Lapka; his children, Cole (Shanna) and Shantel Schumack; his granddaughters, Aspyn Schumack and Pyper Schumack; and his sister Jenney Bender (family: Shaun Bender, Tiffaney Johnson).
