He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Kim Merkel of Ellendale, ND, Lynn Wright (Stephan) of Houghton, SD, Jim Kessler (Judy Ketchersid) of Mobridge and Tim Kessler of Leola; and his siblings, Delores Schumacher of Aberdeen, Mary Ann Kight of Mitchell, Melvin Kessler (Virginia) of Leola, Harold, Anthony (Tony), Elvina Fossum and Dorothy Fettig.
