With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Smidt of Lennox, South Dakota, who passed away on February 19, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smidt and Doris Smidt (Gerber); and his sister Mary Ann Hammerstrom. He is survived by: his significant other Carol Hammerstrom; his children, Jill Christensen (Doyle) of Parker, Karla Smit (Bob) of Lennox and Brad Smidt (Teresa) of Lennox; and his sister Janet Schneiderman (Duane). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
