She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Schmidt and Gertrude Schmidt (Geiken); her husband Myron Highstreet; her daughters, Peggy Gerhard, Myra Jean VanDeKieft and Sharon Rudd; and her siblings, George Schmidt and Sophie Temple.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, James Klinghagen, Todd Klinghagen, Gerald VanDeKieft, Sherry Farnsworth, Perry VanDeKieft, Sara Patterson and Suzanne Anderson. She is also survived by her many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; one sister.
