He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew DeVries and Marles DeVries (Knock); and his siblings, Leland DeVries, Lowell, Harriet DeVries and LeAnn Tatro.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Miller; his family Larry; his daughters, Melissa Kummer (Drew) of Le Mars, IA and Andrea Chayka (Mike) of Summerset, SD; his grandchildren, Harleyann Smith (Michael), Bryton Baker, Kaelee Chayka and Morgan Chayka; and his siblings, Laurna Gustafson (Eric), Lorraine VanGeest (Dan), Linda Thompson (Terry), Lena Sanderson (Thomas), Loretta Lang (Ken), Lorin DeVries (Melanie) and Leota Olsen (David).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lennox Ebenezer Presbyterian Church (305 W 1st Ave, Lennox, SD 57039). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at the Lennox Cemetery.
