With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard Douglas Ophiem (Lennox, South Dakota), born in Faribault, Minnesota, who passed away on October 24, 2018 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by: his wife Esther; and his brother Harlan of Minneapolis, MN.. He is survived by: his parents, Haakon Opheim and Minnie Opheim (Warnes); his daughters, Deborah Hoercher (Del), Lennox and Jane Jibben (Jim); and his siblings, Irma Johnson of Ashville, NC and Earl Opeim. He is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
