With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Smit of Lennox, South Dakota, who passed away on April 8, 2021 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frances Smit to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Joe and Engeline Meyer (Plucker); and her siblings-in-law, Bunny Armbuster, Donald Sinning and Kenneth Heeren.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence Smit; her children, Gerald Smit, Gayla Jorgensen (Mike) of Gillette, WY, Glenda Schroedermeier (Loren), Greg Smit (Brenda) and Lennox; her sisters, Marlene Sinning of Sioux Falls and Harriet Heeren of Sioux Falls; and her sister-in-law Doris Kirkeby (Lee). She is also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her neighborhood kids.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Children's Inn or the Children's Home Society are preferred.
