He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Dauwen and Mary Dauwen (Maher); his wife Caroline Dauwen of Bonaventure's Catholic Church; his brother David Dauwen; his parents-in-law, Peter and Gladys Mattern; and his siblings-in-law, Butch Fanning, Jef Mattern and Rhonda Mattern.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karren Thompson (Brian) and Robyn Bertolotto (John); his grandchildren, Hope Thompson, Madison Irwin (Kyle), Mariah Gerding (Kyle), Karissa Thompson, Tagen Bertolotto (Allison) and Tate Bertolotto; his great grandchildren, Gavin, Easton, Lincoln, Hattie Irwin, Landen Thompson and Kohen Gerding; his siblings, Judy Anderson (Dave), Ronnie Dauwen (Susie), Jane Nelson (Rick), Doug Dauwen, Wally Dauwen and Scott Dauwen; and his siblings-in-law, Susan Dauwen, Paulette Fanning, John Mattern, Joel Mattern, Betty Meyer (Derry), Marla Hausauer (John) and Jerry Mattern.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established by the family.
