He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Jackson and Velma Jackson (Brammer); his sisters, Jeanne Jackson and Grace Olien (Art); and his sister-in-law Florence Jacobson Jackson.

He is survived by: his niece Lisa Jackson (Lynn); his wife Mary Ann Hoherz; his sons, Steve Jackson (Eleanor) of Rapid City, SD and Douglas Jackson (Stacey) of Rapid City, SD; his granddaughter Lydia Engelson (Todd) of Seattle, WA; his great grandchildren, Atlas and Oscar Engelson; and his brothers, Larry Jackson (Phyllis) of Reeder, ND, Lee Jackson (Ruby) of Bismarck, ND and Stanley Jackson (Kathy) of Sioux Falls, SD.
