It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derek Nells Myhre (Lemmon, South Dakota), who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Derek Nells is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Derek Nells' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his son Maximus Nells (Stacy); his mother Linda; his brother Douglas (Lauren); his godmother Dianne Hellekson; his in-laws, Daniel, Gail Froelich and Stephanie Archibald (Ryan); and his grandparents, Thad and Caroline Uecker. He was also cherished by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousin.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Evanson Jensen Funeral Home (501 7th Ave W, Lemmon, SD 57638). A family service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Lutheran Church (303 2nd Ave W, Lemmon, SD 57638).
