He was predeceased by: his wife Erna Ellison; his parents, Edward Ellison and Ora Ellison; his brother Larry "Shorty" Ellison; and his brother-in-law Kenney Hintz.
He is survived by: his children, Bryan Ellison of Bismarck, ND and Stacy (Mitch); his brothers, Mitchell Ellison (Edna) of Lemmon, SD and Dean Ellison (Lila) of Thunder Hawk, SD; his brother-in-law Dave Hintz of Lemmon, SD; his grandchildren, Jeremy Malloy (Amber), Chris Ellison (Courtney), Corey Ellison (Tiffany), Carrie Griffin (Jake), Chelsey Reede (Scott), Lacy Hoff (Josh), Holly Daley and Amy LeFebre (Dan); and his great grandchildren, Aiden Hoff, Kolby Hoff, Ryker Douglas, Everlee Ellison, Maylee Ellison, Landon, Angelica, Emma, Ella Malloy and Paxon Reede. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
