He was predeceased by: his parents, LeRoy Edwards and Ruth Edwards (Paris); and his siblings, Floyd, Jory and Cheryl Shockley.

He is survived by: his wife Deanna Dykstra of Lemmon, SD; his daughters, JoDee Borchert (Quinton) of Lemmon, SD and Tamara Seidel (Justin); his grandchildren, Ty Seidel (Sharon) of Shadehill, SD, Shyanne Seidel, Raechael Wiley (Nick), Paige Sandgren (Kevin) and Erin Jack; his great grandchildren, Lincoln Sandgren of Hettinger, ND and Ryle Seidel; and his siblings, Caryl Solano and Craig Edwards.

A memorial has been established to the Calvary Lutheran Church in Lemmon.
