With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Shevling of Lead, South Dakota, born in Rapid City, South Dakota, who passed away on August 19, 2023 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Shevling to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Shevling and Katie Shevling (Matthesen); his daughter Cindy Myers; and his siblings, Bob Shevling and Lois Burback.

He is survived by: his wife Janet Shevling of Lead; and his children, Robert Shevling (Shelly) of Lead, Wanda Fox (Tim) of Gillette, WY and Debi Stearns (Scott) of Gillette, WY. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.

Memorials are preferred to the Shriners Hospital and Tunnel to Towers.
