He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Bender and Laura Bender (Hilton); his former wife Elizabeth Johnson; his children, Donald Bender and Kathy Odson; and his siblings, Jim, LeRoy Bender and Lorraine Tupper.
He is survived by: his sister Betty Marie; his sister-in-law Betty Prokop; his wife Betty; and his son Robert Bender. He is also survived by two grandsons; two great grandsons; and six great-great grandchildren.
