He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Carsten and Lucene Carsten; and his sister Julie Mack. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Carsten Lead; his children, Ashley De La Mater (Cody) of Colorado, Michael Kirkpatrick (Kayla) of Texas and Matthew Stueve of Nebraska; his goddaughter Tiffany Mullaney Spearfish (Skyler); his siblings, Vicky Barrett Spearfish (Terry), Randy Carsten (Carletta) and Charlene Maynard Sturgis (Michael); and his brother-in-law Reggie Mack Lead.
Due to COVID, there will be a celebration of life next summer.
