He is survived by: his spouse Alma Kuhn Sturgeon; his children, Debbie Sharp (Teddy), Janine Chancellor (Debbie Condreva), James, Jr. (Sharon), Patti Vance (Jeff), Kerry (Amanda) and Mark; his grandchildren, Alex Vance (Kara), Adam Vance (Amanda Kay), Amanda Vance (Andrew Blum), Andrew (Brandy Duncan), Amelia and John Sturgeon; his great grandchild Sophia Hicks; and his siblings, John, Estelle Ann and Barbara Ann.
