He was predeceased by: his parents, Lena Wienk (Appledorn) and Edwin Wienk; his wife Betty Wienk; his siblings, Kenneth Wienk, Donald Wienk, Robert Wienk, Mildred Calmer, Gladys Vogel, Lucille Larson and Helen Bjordahl; his son Wayne Wienk; and his grandson Anthony Wienk.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Wienk (Janet) of Omaha, NE, Charles Wienk (Brenda) of Lake Preston, SD, Gene Wienk of Lake Preston, SD, Connie Hamsa (Steve) of Brandon, SD and Terri Helms (Mike) of Sherwood, WI; his daughter-in-law Marsha Wienk of Bath, SD.; and his grandchildren, Julianne Coffey, Ryan Wienk, Sherry McMasters, Andy Wienk, Jon Wienk, Brent Wienk, Kayleigh Kallenberger, Jackie Susie, Ashley Brooks, Kelli Mork, James Mork, Ali Dutil, Jacob Hamsa, Tyler Hamsa, Marty Helms and Mason Helms.
