He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Johnson (Johnson); his daughters, Jean Merkle of Vermillion and Sondra Jensen of Yankton; his grandchildren, Tabitha Merkle, Eiler Merkle, Bethany Merkle, Price Jensen and Trace Jensen; and his sons-in-law, Jeff Merkle and Benjamin Jensen.
