He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Kangas and Evelyn Kangas (Lehtola); his wife Ruth A. Blakeman; his sons, Faron, Walden and Ricky; and his son-in-law Brian Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Darla Rasmussen (Dallas) of Lake Norden, SD, Edith Kaski (Alan) of Lake Norden, SD, Dallas Kangas (Molly) of Yacolt, WA, Joann Jouppe (Lee) of Lake Norden, SD, Shane Kangas (Alayne) of Dollar Bay, MI, Reazo Kangas (Elaine) of Bryant, SD, Edward Kangas (Amy) of Lake Norden, SD, Carol Reddig (Randy) of Bryant, SD and Linda Woods of Lake Norden, SD; and his siblings, Marilyn Wilen (Lance) of Lake Norden, SD, Mavis Van Schoiack (Chris) of Hayti, SD and Roy Kangas (Luana) of Dodgeville, MI.. He is also survived by 53 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren.
