She was predeceased by: her parents, Christian Thompson and Emma Thompson (Birgholtz); her husband Marvin; her children, Richard 'Dick' Tormanen, Doug Tormanen and Pamela Marchese; her stepfather Peter Sorenson; and her siblings, Floyd, Manfred, Chris, Ray, Merle, Curt, Robert, Violet, Irene and Vivian 'Babe'.
She is survived by: her children, Randy, Sam, Darrell Tormanen (Kim) of Hays, KS, David "Snowball" Tormanen of Estelline, SD, Nancy Bjorklund (Todd) of Estelline, SD, Sue Reitsma (Fred) of Lake Norden, SD, Bonnie Tormanen of Lake Norden, SD, Arlene "Arnie" Doescher (Doug) of Arlington, SD, Tracy Laue (Darin) of Castlewood, SD, Connie Bratland (Trav) of Willow Lake, SD and Amy Miller (Ryan) of Estelline, SD; and her daughter-in-law Kathie Tormanen of Lake Norden, SD. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was the foundation for her family, and she loved unconditionally.
