He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Riter and Margaret Riter (Wagner); his wife Margaret Riter; his sons, Eugene Riter and Randy Riter; his daughter-in-law Roxanne Riter; and his great grandchild Barker Riter.
He is survived by: his family, Eugene, Dean, Randy and Mike; his sons, Dean (Cita) of Watertown, SD and Mike (Theresa) of Watertown, SD; his grandchildren, Darian, Amy, Travis, Ken, Jason, Lindsay, Dillon and Emma; his sisters, Joyce Schoenbeck and Janet Jacobson; and his sister-in-law Sylvia Riter. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Salvation Army Food Pantry.
