He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Tammeus and Mattie Tammeus; his former wife Leah Tammeus; his daughter Elisa Tammeus; and his brother Lawrence Tammeus.
He is survived by: his wife Arla Rypkema; his children, Leslie Carney (Jim) of Columbus and Dane Tammeus (Lori) of Cottonwood, Minnesota; and his grandchildren, Grant Keller, Kirsten Keller, Katie Tammeus and Emma Tammeus.
