He was predeceased by: his parents, John Janish and Clara Janish (Heirigs); his siblings, Albert Janish, Sr. (Lorraine), Lorretta Fuegen (Walter), Louis Janish (Dorothy), Leona Young (Bill), Maxine White (Bob), Margaret Reuland (Ed) and Clara McGregor; and his parents-in-law, William and Vera Talich (Vander Voort).

He is survived by: his wife Doris Marie Talich of Yankton, SD; his daughter Kari Jo Janish of Brookings, SD; and his brothers-in-law, Wally McGregor of Kimball, SD, Bill Talich (Wendy) of Mesa, AZ and Dennis Talich (Barb) of Pine Bluffs, WY. He is also survived by his mother and younger sisters.
