She was predeceased by: her parents, Anton Toupal and Christine Toupal (Sluka); her husband Leon Chmela of Margaret's Catholic Church; her son Dennis; and her siblings, Virgie Potter, Florence Pazour, LaVerne Peters, Sue Almjeld, Doreen, Jerry, John, Wally, James, Harry, Willard and Jimmy.
She is survived by: her son Dwayne Chmela (Claudia) of Kimball; her daughter-in-law Doris Ann Chmela of Kimball, SD; her sister Helen Petersen of Tracy, MN; and her grandchildren, Damon Chmela, Darin Chmela, Dawn Hellbusch, Denise Rutten and Danette Paschke. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Rosary Service St. Margaret's Catholic Church (417 S Elm St, Kimball, SD 57355). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Margaret's Catholic Church (417 S Elm St, Kimball, SD 57355).
