He was predeceased by: his parents, James, Sr. Konechne and Florence Konechne (Jacobsen); his sister Susan Pospisil (Loren); his nephew John Konechne; his brother-in-law Tom Kuestermeyer; his father-in-law Dell Hellekson; and his brother-in-law Gary Gross.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Konechne of Kimball, SD; his children, Chris Konechne (Amanda) of Kimball, SD, Kelly Konechne (Kayla) of Kimball, SD, Grant Konechne (Jolene) of Huron, SD, Laura Sitzmann (Bret) of Foristell, MO, Kevin Konechne (Heather) of Kimball, SD and Taylor Konechne (Nataly) of Los Alamos, CA; his grandchildren, Jaycee, Leo, Violet, George, Jasper, Cadence, Carter, Olivia, Ty, Holly, Charlie, Rory, Dylan, Hannah and Bennett; his siblings, David Konechne of Kimball, SD and Doris Kuestermeyer of Kimball, SD; and his parents-in-law, Mary Hellekson of Rapid City, SD, Carolyn Gross, Doug Hellekson (Sheila), Robert Hellekson (Janet), Carl Hellekson (Nancy) and Barbara Konechne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
