He was predeceased by: his daughter Darlene; his parents, Chuck Sheely and Alma Sheely; his sister Delona Frost; and his nephews, Lance Sheely and Wilbur McRoberts.

He is survived by: his wife Marlene Sheely; his siblings, Hazel McRoberts and Wayne Sheely; his daughter Cheryl Russell; and his grandchildren, Bryan Russell, Steven Russell (Tracy) and Tamara Wilcox (Patrick).

Memorial has been established to Shriner's transportation fund.
