We are sad to announce that on April 20, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Vernon W. Uhlir of Kadoka, South Dakota, born in Rapid City, South Dakota. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Uhlir and Louise Uhlir; and his brother Glen. He is survived by: his brothers, Clarence, Elmer, Vilas, Stanley "Hook" and Mike; his nephew Stanton "Beef" Uhlir; his wife Hellen McCaskell; his children, Pam Bonenberger (Keith) of Kadoka, Laurie Pettyjohn (Ted) of Rapid City and Greg Uhlir (Lisa) of Sioux Falls; his grandchildren, Alisha Lockhart, Brett, Kade Bonenberger, Jason and Jared Pettyjohn; and his great grandchildren, Joslin, Brice, MaKaylan, McCoy, McKey, Wyatt, Morgan, Landon, Miles, Berkley and Taylor. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Kadoka Care Center and the new Kadoka School.
