He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Peterson and Violet Peterson (Brenner); his daughter Tiffani; his foster parents, Wes Rounds and Clarice Rounds; his brothers-in-law, Ron Therriault and Russ Dillon; and his parents-in-law, William and Dorothy Reese.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Reese of Iroquois, SD; his children, Shannon Cooper (Shandy Stahl) of Iroquois, SD, Terry Peterson of Bismarck, ND and Jessica Peterson (Dallas Haight) of Clark, SD; his grandchildren, Ashlyn, A. J. Wipf and Reese Peterson; his sisters, Linda Barker (Larry) of Reno, NV, Ginger Collier (Bob) of Rapid City, SD and Coral Therriault of Lancaster, CA; and his foster sisters, Kathy Verch (Darold) of El Segunda, CA, Marlys Peskey (Dean) of Iroquois, SD, Jackie Zell (Bob) of Salem, OR and Sue Dillon of Carthage, SD. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
