He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hugh Evans, Sr. and Elizabeth Quinn Evans; his child Vona Leckey; his friend Amelia Floren; his cousins, Bill MacLyman, Jim and Peggy Hess of Huron, SD; and also Jim Evans.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the De Smet Hospital Foundation, the Iroquois American Legion or to the donor's choice can be made in Hugh's name.
