He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernt Haugen and Mildred Haugen (Hevle); his brothers, Floyd and Burnell; his siblings-in-law, Rod Mikkelson, Rod Garrison, Marilyn and Rita; and his great-niece Erin Leigh Mikkelson.
He is survived by: his sisters, Lee Mikkelson of Viborg and Gayle Garrison of Tea. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
