Miriam Nelson Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 19, 2021, at the age of 90, Miriam Nelson (Irene, South Dakota) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Helge Halvorson and Florence Halvorson (Hall); her husband John N Nelson; her siblings, Harold, Robert, Olava and Helen; and her grandson Joshua Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Johnson (John) of Sioux Falls, SD, Elaine Oolman (Wayne), John Nelson (Joan), Susan Colvin (Herman) and Steven Nelson (Crystal); her sister-in-law Roma Halvorson of Wakonda, SD; and her siblings, Bonnie Torczon of Columbus, NE and Helge Jr. (Patricia). She is also survived by ten grandsons, thirteen great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
