With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Rempp of Irene, South Dakota, born in Yankton, South Dakota, who passed away on February 24, 2021 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Rempp and Elmira Rempp (Pesicka); his stepfather Norbert Pesicka; his sister Carla Rempp; and his sister-in-law Teresa Rempp.
He is survived by: his wife Amy Mellegard; his sons, Adam Rempp (Leah) of Rosholt, SD, Jeremy Rempp of Irene, SD and Matthew Rempp (Katelynn) of Madison, SD; his grandchildren, Kellen, Maddox, Hallie, Gannon Rempp (Adam) and Keegan Rempp (Matthew); and his siblings, Gerald Rempp (Shirley) of Yankton, SD, Dan Rempp of Irene, SD and Joyce Schwader (Todd) of Sioux Falls, SD. He is also survived by 5 nephews and 1 niece, cousins, and friends.
When distance and a pandemic kept him from seeing his grandchildren, he made sure to keep in touch with phone calls, cards, and video chats.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for monetary donations to fund a memorial for Don at the Irene baseball field.
